Brian Houston's amazing performance!
Monday, April 23, 2007

For those of you who were lucky enough to grab a ticket to Saturday's First 60 Club gig at Fired Art - well done! We bet you're feeling pretty smug right now, and rightly so. One Mr David Sedgewick, Fort William's favourite surgeon and budding music promoter (watch out Robert!) is a massive fan of Brian's, and was solely responsible for bringing Brian over from Ireland for the gig. www.myspace.com/brianhouston
We'd had Brian's new album "Sugar Queen" on high rotation for the past week here in the cafe, so when Brian played the title track, everyone was singing along with gusto! Brian didn't mind - in fact, he encouraged audience participation, and the 60 strong audience was definitely willing.
Thanks to everybody who came and especially a big thanks to David Sedgewick again, for helping make this performance a possibility.
let us know what you thought too!
keep your eyes on the website for details of upcoming gigs (http://www.fired-art.co.uk/events-index.asp)- they're selling out faster each time. Remember the surprise Anna Trafford got for being the first ticket buyer? It could happen to you next time if you're the early bird...
see ya next time!
