First 60 Club to host young Aussie music sensations

Saturday, June 09, 2007

Angus and Julia Stone (www.myspace.com/angusandjuliastone) are the next fabulous act to play Fort William's hottest new music venue.

The duo hail from Sydney, Australia and they'll be bringing their brand of "simple but blindingly effective acoustic compositions, warm boy-girl harmonies and delicate less-is-more arrangements" to Fired-Art on Wednesday 25th July.

Tickets go on sale 25th June for £16 each. Don't miss it! Stay tuned for more events here at www.fired-art.co.uk

Rockin out at Rockness

Monday, June 04, 2007

Festival season is upon us, and the Fired Art gang are all looking forward to heading up to Loch Ness to experience the joy that is Rockness (www.rockness.co.uk)! The festival is in its second year, and what a line up! We can't wait to catch up with our First 60 Club favourites the Tiny Dancers (www.tinydancers.com) who are playing on the main stage (to quite a few more people than were able to fit into Fired Art the night they played here last year).
Hooray!
POSTSCRIPT TO ROCKNESS: What a fantastic weekend! Great music and so much fun hanging out in the VIP Tent! Camping at a festival is definitely an "Experience" to say the least. Reports that the Loch Ness Monster was seen moshing at Daft Punk are completely unfounded - Jenny was there and she didn't see it. Awesome to see Tiny Dancers play their first major festival, as they gear up for an appearance at Glastonbury. Fired-Art can rock out with the best of them. All we need now are bright orange wellies....
